The hotel continues to evolve, reaffirming its position as a progressive property that adjusts to each new era. The hotel has and will always be, on The Edge. The Edgewater has welcomed numerous celebrities throughout the years, perhaps the most famous of whom were The Beatles. Staying at the hotel during their first world tour in 1964 they were rushed back to the hotel after the show in an ambulance, while taxi cabs and stand-ins were used as decoys. The Fab Four fished from the window of room 272, the photograph of which has become famous. Since then, the hotel has accommodated many iconic rock bands including Led Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones.
