Porta Caribe is today known as the South of Pueto Rico, situated in Ponce (the second largest city of the nation), compounds fifteen smaller towns; Adjuntas, Arroyo, Coamo, Guánica, Guayama, Guayanilla, Jayuya, Juana Díaz, Patillas, Peñuelas, Ponce, Salinas, Santa Isabel, Villalba, and Yauco. The city is home to Old Puerto Rican Culture, filled with statuesque 19th century architect; the Catedral de Nuestro in the historic downtown plaza. Though the city has been a major provider for political, social, economic and cultural development, it remains historical matters strongly by the ways of many historic parks and museums. Meanwhile its beaches Guanica and Ponce offer world-class fishing excursions, hiking, fine dining and quaint accommodations.
