HISTORY: Old sugar plantation restored to a refreshing island elegance and a sense of history prevails this old site where Lord Nelson was married in 1787. This is a family owned and managed hotel where personal service, superior quality and fine dining are strongly in grained in every action. The hotel offers the guest the choice of a 20 meter pool on the hillside with cooling breezes and wide views or our private Caribbean beach.
Nevis has a variety of activities to offer in addition to the old world Caribbean charm: horse rides on the beach, rain forest hikes, mountain climbs, museums, golf, and all the water based activities. Nevis does NOT HAVE: good shopping, swinging night life, cruise ships, t shirt shops or fast food stores. 18th c. sugar plantation, where life offers time to ponder, explore and savor, set amidst thirty acres with commanding views of tropical gardens, Nevis Peak and the ocean. Plantation grown fruit, tea in fine china, bread baked just hours earlier, and a private beach sets the pace of island life. Renovations continuously during shut down period in 2002,2003,2004,2005. Public rooms and bedrooms redecorated, air conditioning added, major landscaping improvements, electrical and kitchen upgrades. All renovation work carried out during shut down.
