The hotels owner Mr. Artur Brauner who is over 80 years now made more than 250 movies ... and he still works as a movie director. He worked together with all famous German actors and also with many international actors like-Orson Welles- Sean Connery- Brigitte Bardot- James Mason and more. Producing movies of Edgar Wallace e. g. Winnetou and Europa- Europa! made him a famous man. He was nominated for an Oscar for the best foreign movie. He was the first German producer who was honoured like this and no other German producer followed by now. We will guide you through our hotel in the presence of Hollywood and the international movie world. We start our tour in the hotel lobby where posters and photos of famous movies let you remember the good old days. Here you can see a large-format screen where you can sometimes admire past movies or sports events. Directly at the Kurfüstendamm there is the Cafe/Bar Callas with an outdoor terrace designed in the style of the movies of the sixties. Please follow us on the floors now. 182 rooms- suites and apartments are dedicated to great actresses- actors or movie directors. Walking on reels and stars you will reach your room. A photo at the door- a portrait as well as a biography in the room recalls the memories of the great stars. All rooms are equipped in the style of Biedermeier or Castell Gandolfo. The original mural paintings of the most well-known movie scenes were painted by stage designer of the film studios in Babelsberg. Media also means for us to support you with all necessary and modern technical comfort. We are very proud of our own cinema theatre with 99 seats that you can use for your own movie shows. In front of the screen is a stage, ideal for talks, press conferences- discussions- theatre- presentations or revues. Our restaurant BEL AIR offers you a rich tasteful breakfast from the buffet. The 9 conference rooms for up to 220 persons are equipped with the latest technical devices- air condition and large windows to provide the conference rooms with daylight. For your convenience we also have an underground car park. Our Wellness and Fitness area -Cleopatra- is located on the 6th floor. You can relax during a steam sauna or finish sauna- enjoy getting sun-kissed skin in our solarium and/or have a good workout in our fitness centre.
