Relax by beautifully tiled garden pool.This 37-floor hotel, just 3 blocks from the beach and a couple of blocks from the zoo, offers pleasantly appointed, midsize rooms furnished in tropical decor, with a lanai and the all-important blackout drapes so you can sleep in. All of the rooms are the same; the floor and the view determine the price (from the 18th floor and up, the mountain views overlooking the Ala Wai Canal are spectacular and not as pricey as the oceanview rooms). On my last visit here, service had dwindled a bit; I hope management will bring it back to its once-sterling standard.
