Located in a restored building which originally was the Palace of Prince Granatelli, the Grand Hotel Federico II, rises in the very heart of the town on a quiet residential street close to via Ruggero Settimo Avenue-the most fashionable shopping and business area. The hotel offers 60 rooms and 2 suites all equipped with air-conditioning and heating, private bathroom, satellite TV, mini bar, direct phone, on line radio, electronic safe, hairdryer and internet connection. Furnishings are particularly refined-personalized with master's pictures and period furniture. All rooms are completely soundproof. Bathrooms are decorated with precious marbles enriched with ceramic pots filled with dried rose petals, aromatic spices and equipped with soft chenille bathrobes. Suites are equipped with hydro massage bathtubs. Moreover, there are several large halls, two bars and meeting-rooms. The restaurant is located on the fifth-floor, where the prince's apartment was once located. Summer dinners and luncheons are organized on the Roof-Garden which has been created on the splendid terrace overlooking the skyline of Palermo. In the restaurant, every dish is a refined gastronomic creation, born from an authentic passion. The Cellar offers a selection of the best Sicilian wines, and the best Italian and French Crues. Breakfast is served with a large buffet holding a wide variety of typical products. Garage service is also available from 7.30 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. Additional information: Children age 2 and under stay free in the room with parents and in existing bedding. Children age 3-12 will receive a reduction of 50%.
