| |  | | Fregate Island stands alone, 55 km east of Mahe. Fregate Island or Frigate Island is a granito structured inner islands of Seychelles. Fregate derived from the name of an avian, Frigate found during the earlier days by Lazare Picault. The tip is Mount Signal reaches 125 meters (410 feet). The plants covering the area are Takamaka, a kind of cashew, Indian almond. It also homes to the rare bird called Seychelles Magpie Robin and Aldabra Giant Tortoises.
