Built in 1841, the Bayerischer Hof is today the largest privately owned hotel in Germany. Herman Volkhardt bought the hotel in 1897. Having undergone a complete refurbishment program lasting 5 years the hotel offers all modern technologies but in with the traditional and noble atmosphere. The very central location offers easy access to all the major, business centers, shopping and cultural sights. The hotel offers the following facilities and services; 395 deluxe guest rooms, including 49 suites, 38 conference rooms seating up to 1620 persons, a garden restaurant, winter garden and summer terrace. Palaiskeller serving Bavarian cuisine. Trader Vics for Polynesian cuisine. Several bars such as Falk's Bar, Two Trader Vic's Bar, piano bar.

Hotel pool undergoing renovations. As the pool will not be accessible to guests/ hotel offers an alternative wellness suite with massages/solarium and cardio fitness as well as a sun terrace. Hotel looks forward to the new opening of the Spa with over 1200 sq. mtrs. on 3 floors/ designed by Andree Putman at the beginning of April 2005.
